I came first to this game in August 2013, when a really cool ad of WWII aircraft dogfighting came on tv. I rewinded it to catch the URL. "www.hitechcreations.com". I hopped on my computer, went to the URL, and downloaded my new addiction. I got in the game and only flew offline, considering I was going to have a lot of this happen to me: :ahand. So got in game and saw my childhood crush: The B-17G. I flew it immediately. I took off, flew to the nearest visible island, and bombed (on accident) a friendly base all by estimate because I had no idea how to use the bombsight. (this is offline) I found out how, and decided to go online thinking I could go hit some enemy bases and meet the team. I was astonished to see three teams, not two. I talked on the help channel because I thought it was my team, no wounder I always had an enemy fighter at my target when I asked for escorts! :lol I met another newbie bomber pilot named EWM, and flew a P-51 escort for him. He went home and I ran out of fuel. I got used to the whole bombing thing, and flew for the knigthts, making my own squad. The 379th BG. Some of you may remember me landing some bomb damage under that name. The squad failed, seeming as I only ever had two members, bullspit, and burbur90. Burbur quit and bullspit just stopped showing up. He was my first friend on AH. Too bad he never renewed his subscription when the trial ended. I decided I would make more friends. Two of them being raynos32, and Rollo. They had a squad called bomber command that I wanted to join, but decided not to. Being a knight got kind of old. But I did make my first star there. I switched sides to the Rooks for a short moment, and met a mission runner named ET37. I was rook for a day. Then I went bish, and didn't like it. Something about that team..... I went Rook again, and stuck around. I flew a 17 with ET and asked to join the Devil Dogs, seeming as I needed a squad to call home. The Devil Dogs took me in and I have been one ever since. AH2 has been a great experience for me, and I have yet to meet a player who isn't here to kick back, have fun. Every player was helpful to me along my path. I'd just like to give one big salute to AH and it's community. :salute It's been a great ride guys, and I'll be here for years to come assured.

I remember my first hop in Air Warrior all those years ago. Unbelievable it's coming up on 20...
I sighted in on the first thing I saw and promptly shot down a friendly airplane followed by another. PNG on day one which meant I had to wait a day before they gave me ammunition again.
And look what that started.

Like Golfer, I logged in to Air Warrior 20 years ago. It was also about 24 hours after I got my first computer. It would have been sooner but it took 16 hours to download AW through a modem. I left it downloading when I went to bed the night before and woke up to the "Download Conplete" message. I do not specifically remember my first mission but I do remember the excitement I felt when the game opened and I discovered a whole new world. There was a place I could go, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and make friends that were interested in playing the same kind of games I like to play. I probably played 30 plus hours the first 2 days I had it.
Nothing has changed. I feel really excited to log in, each and every time. I still find lots of friends that like playing the same games I do. "Games" is correct, there are many games to be played here in our micro, pixelated, universe. Play your game, I'll play mine, and ours will always overlap even if it is not exactly the same.
That my friends is the beauty of the thing.
It's another day in paradise my friends, let's go play.

Someday. Just not right now. Switching sides is an automatic ejection from the DD's. I've stuck around too long to quit on them. :salute

My old squad was like that... I didn't like it. I like the AK's rotation policy. We move chess pieces each month. You would be surprised how much more fun you have switching sides once in a while.

All do respect sir, I've found a squad I want to stay with. :salute

:aok And you should stay with them if you're happy.
I found the more loyal to a chess piece the player is, the more the red guys become a true enemy as opposed to a bunch of friends that split up sides and played a game. I wasn't suggesting you leave the squad, but putting out there a part of the game experience some (you) are missing. Just some food for thought.
