Title: Just a reminder about the cold

I just wrapped up my outside water facets in hopes they won't freeze and burst.

Also, a good idea to close off any inside valves that supply the outdoor facets.

I have been told that leaving your indoor facets at a slow drip will help prevent them from freezing up as well. :headscratch:

Hope you opened the outside valve because any water between the outdoor and inside valves will freeze.

save some water in your bath tub(or in buckets if you don't have one); can use /flush toilet if the water pipe froze;

And bring in your pets. I've got my three dogs inside the garage fighting over who claims the pet crate with hay and a pillow.

I know you guys aren't used to weather like this, and it's like if we were hit by a +40C heat wave. We'd drop like flies!  :lol

My basement just turned into an aquarium because the idiot tenant next door turned off the furnace because she is living with her idiot boyfriend and didnt think it "would get that cold" :bhead
Not surprisingly  the pipes burst.  So indoor skating at my place. byob

Faster drip is better. They can still freeze even with the drip, but with it open the expansion may not crack the pipes.
