Title: 56 Squadron Typhoon

This is a Typhoon of 56 Squadron based at Matlaske in Norfolk in April 1943. The RL aircraft was an early Typhoon with the car door canopy and smaller tail surfaces, but this is considered an acceptable substitution for AH. The yellow stripes above and black and white stripes below the wings were ID markings to prevent the aircraft being mistaken for an FW 190.
