Title: IE 11. Just a heads up
Post by: ozrocker on January 15, 2014, 05:09:29 PM
I've been using it awhile, noticed web pages loading slowly as common.
Today, I uninstalled it. Now my puter loads web pages faster.
IMO ditch or don't go with IE 11.
Just an FYI

Websites may have problems to recognize a two-digit IE version numbers to choose a correct render option for it. They may have been switched to use an IE6 render path for non-recognized IE versions.

Thats an understatement. IE11 masquerades as gecko browser to hide its identity. Websites think it's not IE at all but more like firefox. http://www.neowin.net/news/ie11-to-appear-as-firefox-to-avoid-legacy-ie-css

That breaks many MS:s own applications actually.  :rock

That's why I stick to IE9 on my Win7 machines to avoid some troubles (and I rarely use the IE).
Now M$'s own bad decisions from the 1990s backfire on them, forcing them to use ugly workarounds. They should have sticked to Internet standards from the get-go instead of using their own obfuscating standards, still causing lots of headaches for website programmers and admins.

All this and a hell lot of security issues originate in the dumb idea to merge the local file managment program (the explorer) with an internet browser.
