eventho. the hardness of hangers (fh, vh, bh) are set to something like 2.78 in latewar arena, its is possible to kill the hangers only with 1500lbs (or 3*500) dropped from a AR234.

Why don't people understand that Kg and lbs are different.
500kg is equal to 1,102 lbs
so 1102*3 is 3306 which is 306 lbs more than needed

well dont worry I know how to convert pounds to kgs.... And if your read my sentence you ll see I am talking about taking down the hangers with 1500lbs( 3*500)
I just did not know that 234 was carring 500kg ( i was thiking it is carrying 500lb*3 ) Just checked it in game your are right its 500kgs*3 .

Only if the hanger was previously damaged. I've taken out a fighter hanger with just a burst of .50 cal but only because someone else dropped bombs and some rockets on the hanger but not enough to take it down with their drop.

No, buildings have damage ratings. Health bars are what arcade games depict so you know how close you are to killing aliens.

Yes, but we can't see it ;)
That's why you read things like "VH very soft, pls gun it down". Damage is cumulative, but only for a short period of time (don't ask me how long exactly)

I think damage reset on any blding, hanger etc.. same as the on the map room, 30mins ...not sure tho.

Hangars always take 15 minutes to rebuild. Other buildings are 30 min or 45 min, but can take longer if the strats or city have been hit.

I also think that once you start taking down a building or FH you have only a certain amount of time to finish taking it down I don't think that time is in the 30-40 minute range

no no I am not talking about the time required for a downed hanger to come back up. That time is fixed for hangers and manned guns 15mins...
I am talking about a situation where a hangar is damaged by a previous attack but not down ... so i think after 30mins all the previous damage on the hanger is rested as well.

no its not, it shows 1000lbs*2.78 something under arena settings in main arena... the problem was i did not know that 234 was carrying 3*500kgs (around 3*1000lbs) ...
