Title: idea for 2 arenas

1) keep current ma

2) add an arena,using custom terrains. it will cycle oncea week. flight operationswill be limited to planesthatfit the terrain,andwillbecountry-segregated.flight operations will be only enabled for 5 minutes every hour. If you die, go furball in MA and wait for next hour to roll on by.

this willkeep both arenas fairly active i think. much better than a normal historiocal arena since it will concentrate people and make more realistic environment. you could also disable radar and stuff in 2nd arena.

This idea doesn't really appeal to me, but if it did 5 minutes seems like a pretty narrow window to figure out it's time, log out of the main, log into other arena & select your plane and field don't ya think?

great idea zig, except the spawn limit...will make for alot of boring flights, no one willing to engage on anything near equal footing and unrealistic in that real wwii pilots almost never had the option of when or not to engage...the mission almost always called for you to engage when the bad guys showed up, running away prior to engagement was generally not an option.

What if players could point an enemy on the map and 'dare' him..

If he ran he would give the other one a kill..

Blah what a stupid idea.. the Pony jocks at 22k would be daring everyone and then runstanging to the horizon.. =)

Zig has a good idea,  with exeption of the one kill deth thing.  I would love to see the hisorical planeset and ops though.  The sunday special events are a blast when i have the time.  I like the custom map idea.  

Imagine if ya could a scaled down Europe.

The yanks launch from britain.  In a mission builder a group of B17s launch,  30 minutes later over the channel a squadron of fighters meet bombers at rally point.
Yanks experience heavy flak over France.

The rhineland scrambles hordes of fighters to engage, fur ball ensues surving bombers hit strategic targets in Europe.

OOPS THATS WHAT I THOUGHT B17 2 WAS TO BE SILLY ME.
