Title: CPU Fan Failure
Post by: Lazerr on January 21, 2014, 06:37:09 PM
Oh Man..

After installing a new PSU and a Geforce GTX760, and playing for a few hours I have problems.

I was away for a few days, came to start my PC and got "CPU Fan Failure"

Any Suggestions?  :huh

get a new CPU fan?

Or, hopefully you just dislodged the fan power wire which plugs into the motherboard. Check it's plugged in. If it's not you should see a socket for it on the MB near the fan's position.

Seems quite likely if you were changing the PSU that something isn't plugged in right.

Other than that I'm pretty clueless abut computers...so...get a new CPU fan?  :D

hehe.. false alarm.  My PCIE power supply cord brushed up on the fan, not allowing it to spin.  Whew :)

I noticed the fan on the back wont spin much, but haven't put the PC under any load yet.
