Baseplate or Operation Ground Plate)
launched on January 1, 1945,was an attempt
by the Luftwaffe to cripple Allied air forces
in the Low Countries of Europe during Second
World War. The Germans husbanded their resources
in the preceding months at the expense of the
Defense of the Reich units in what was a
last-ditch effort to keep up the momentum
of the German Army (German: Heer) during
the stagnant stage of the Battle of the Bulge
(German: Unternehmen Wacht am Rhein).
The operation was a Pyrrhic success for the
Luftwaffe as the losses suffered by the German
air arm were irreplaceable. The losses of the
Allied Air Forces were replaced within weeks.
The operation failed to achieve air superiority
even temporarily, and the German Army continued
to be exposed to air attack. Bodenplatte was the
final major Luftwaffe offensive during World
War II.

Looks great shipper, Congrats! Only input I have is that the P-47D-40 never served in Europe(only the Pacific) You might substitute the 47M and the D-11s for all the Razoback 47s that were still in service for that battle. :old:
Welcome to the world of AvA CMs!

Obligatory "The 1942 Merlin 61 Spitfire Mk IX was not in service in 1945 and, barring balance purposes which shouldn't be an issue with the Bf109K-4 and Fw190D-9 present, should be replaced with one or both of the Spitfires that were actually there, the Mk XIV and Mk XVI."
Alternatively you could "balance" it by replacing the Bf109s with the Bf109G-2 and the Fw190s with the Fw190A-5. That would be just as reasonable.

I wasn't really going for historic accuracy. I was picking a plane set that I thought would be fun ! I do appreciate all the suggestions though! Please feel free to come in and still have fun !
