Title: Editing Norden crosshair?
Post by: colmbo on February 05, 2014, 12:06:35 AM
Is it possible?  I was thinking of indexing the reticle to assist with leading ships.

Can it be done?

Go to walmart/kmart and for about 79 cents you can purchase a clear ruler, take it and cut it the the desired length and place it on the bottom of your monitor standing upright on the vertical axis of the bombsight.......and presto !!!! instant index.  this allso works for GV driver position shooting

To the wish list!!

It would be difficult to have a system to modify the fine gun sights like tanks and bomb sights, but I could put a standard gradient on it similar to the ship sights.

:airplane: :x That sir, would be very helpful! While you are at it, fix the shift + X auto function on B-24's, it doesn't work!

Well, as I researched this a bit more the actual Norden had just what we have in game so for me it's good as it is.

If you did add a gradient that would be helpful.

It's really not that hard, with extreme care on the exact altitude, good estimation at that altitude as to what a half, full, boat length and a half, or two boatlengths to get it down to a a pretty good science -- many, many players already do.  Practice is the key -- and sadly -- I am horribly rusty at that skill.
