The decline of the General attitude to losing a fight has been getting on my nerves. :cry
Last night I was in a pony cruising about 18k between 57 or 59 (cant rem ember the base number) the base right above P61. I was heading over the enemy base when a Jug goes about 3k away and about 5k underneath me. Io' watch to see if he roll in to attack but he keeps on at the heading he is going. As he passes through my 3 o'clock position I WEP up and roll in. Dive low and come up underneath him doing about 550 IAS. But about 75 rounds into him as I go by. He still was on same heading till shots were fired. Frantically rolls but by that time it was to late. MOst of my rounds hit. I watch the Jug go down. :ahand
About 20 seconds after I get a Pm from the man ranked last night at 43 " Late War: Always some out Alt Dweeb looking for a EASY KILL" :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl The definition of Dweeb is, a boring, studious, or socially inept person.
This really ruint the rest of the evening for me :(. Do most score hoards try to place the blame of their dying on advantages not in their favor. I.e. Alt over opponent, Co Alt merge. OR higher E advantage. :joystick:
There was at least 5 things he could have done to defend against my slash attack. Yes I know I was higher and that I came out of the sun. But he had 1-1.5 minutes to see my con even before I turned into attack. Then he had about and another 1-1.5 once I got on his six.
What makes me bubble Inside his he blames me for HIS POOR SA!!! :furious :furious :furious
Here is prime example of what I try to do when I am flying. For me it is about every 15seconds.
Hard to tell without seeing any video of it but it sounds like Del turned back in for you as you went for the 190 making him the immediate threat again. That's where SA comes in. ALWAYS be looking around, and I mean ALWAYS! Watch my video again and you'll see even as I'm making an attack run on one plane I am looking around and checking on all the other targets as well. I only focus on my target when I'm getting ready to shoot.
Practice setting an internal alarm clock. When you're flying out to the fight and over enemy territory, set the clock for 5 seconds. Look around, see if there are any enemies around to your left, right, above, below, behind, or in front of you. 5 seconds later your internal alarm should be going off saying "Hey! You should check the area again!" Look around again. Look left, right, above, below, behind and in front for targets. You'll be surprised how many times you suddenly see a plane that wasn't there a second ago.
When in a small fight (1v1, 2v1, 2v2, etc) set the alarm for 2 seconds. Every 2 seconds (max) in a fight you should be checking your 6 and looking around to see if someone else is targeting you. Try not to tunnel vision onto one target. I forget who said it but someone has it in their sig "If you think you're having a 1v1 in the MA, you're SA has failed you."
When in very large furballs, like in my video here, set the internal alarm for .5-1 second. ESPECIALLY when fighting them alone. Everything, yes... literally everything, will be targeting you. Be checking up on ALL targets at ALL TIMES!
But still He had horrible SA
Sorry guys about the rant but had to get out the system before get back on this afternoon after work. :salute

you let that bother you? i would have just told him to try harder to not get shot down next time...then went on with my business.

There are many people in online games that whine about whatever happens to them.
In here, some of the more common reasons involve:
Lag
Not turnfighting on the deck with their Brewster in your 190
More than one person attacking them when they dive into the middle of a crowd of bandits
Shooting them from the wrong angle
Shooting them from too far away
Shooting them while flying a superior aircraft
Shooting them while flying an inferior aircraft
Shooting them with your tank
Shooting them when they didn't see you
Shooting them when they did see you
Shooting them from alt advantage
Surviving their first pass and then killing them
Don't take any of it to heart, it's noise. Some people simply must comment when they get killed. .squelch is your friend.
Wiley.

When I get these sort of PM's I receive them with a sense of "you have done a great job", then promptly send them a salute, then squelch them. Leaves them begging for more! :aok

Wiley.
To the OP, you can't please everyone, and many will find any excuse they can (that they had no control over) to justify why they are the victim and you are the abuser. It bothered me at first, but you eventually ignore it, or even laugh at it.
But if it does bother you often, use .squelch, like Wiley said.
I don't squelch, well, I did squlech ManAWar but other than that no one else :). I enjoy reading the replies I sometimes get :D

I fixed this with our radio tabs.
Def con 1 = tab 1 All is good all radio channels.
Def con 2= tab 2 No 200, all other channels enabled.
Def con 3= tab 3 No 200, No privet MSG.
Def con 4= tab 4 No 200, No privet, No Country channel.
Lately I have been spending most my time on Def Con 4,

Now the real question is would you have done anything besides dive away for your ack if he was co-alt?
If the answer is no you should reconsider your subscription.
-
The best are PMs you get from people that shoot you down. My favorite was from a pilot that bounced my low 110C in an FM2 and was kind enough to taunt me afterwards, despite no reaction from me on my demise. He kept trying to goad me on and then went to trying to be my friend. :lol He kept trying but I just was laughing to myself and didn't respond. Ignoring them works even better than squelching, because you get to read their increasingly desperate pleas for attention. :)

I love turn fighting in a 4gun pony

You run away promptly from the moment you lose 1 advantage. Probably for the best you are closed to the sim world around you, they are only mocking.
-
dont let this get to you...seriously....
laugh at them....you are here to kill people right?
I know I am....I didn't come to AH to make friends...
sowhen I get PMs (although most I get are on the opposite scale)
I have gotten lots of angry ones....it should make you laugh...who friggen cares what some tard(obviously he is a tard if he sends that type of pm) says to you......
people regret sending me PMs like that....
I will goad them on......ask them if they want lessons...tell them I understand that an 8 yr olds have difficulties...reaching the stick let alone fly.......they eventually end up squelching me :t

Sounds like someone ran into Tosh.
ack-ack

I try to point out the mistake they made to people like that. Common sense and Logic don't seem to work on them. If they think you did something bad or "dweeby" then they will simply ignore all the facts and believe they are right.
Just ignore people like that. Don't let them get to you and put a damper on you having fun, and certainly don't ever take their advice! I've seen people trying to convince others that having altitude is a noob tactics, is very dweeby, and you should never attack from altitude. I've even seen a few people try and convince others that you should hold your fire if the enemy flies into your gunsight!! :rofl :rofl

:huh
All i can guess is your mad i killed you.
And im closed off from "men" that cry more then little girls on the pc world.I don't need to mute people in real life, cause they respect me.

NO one is mad, it is so often seen that little girls cry and run from a fight.
I don't mute people in the sim world or online, because I don't cry at what they say about me.
-
What are you on about Wpeters?! You made him whine... That's the ultimate victory! :aok
-
because I don't cry at what they say about me.
Just about everything else under the sun. :aok

You guys are silly.
Without fail, if I get an "unkind" PM, I respond with kindness.
Once, I picked Wiley when he was in a 262. He PM'd me, called me every name in the book, cast aspersions upon my moral terpitude, eluded to my questionable patriarchal heritage,.............er...........wait...............now I remember, we laughed about it. But then guys like Wiley are a good sport.

Zoney: "Low Buffs! I'm in!"
Stampf: "Altitude?"
Zoney: "35K Heading 090."
Stampf: "Ah, cc. Watch your dive speed bro."

Shoulda heard Dazyc****r flame me via coms after my lead shot him down for the 27th time. Ran his mouth all night and kept getting whacked. The guy took the time to tune me in on audio and call me MF this and MF that. Embarrassing. Sorry. Hope this isn't a Rule #4.
-
Keep in mind what the PM really said was, "I was a dumb bellybutton for not checking my 6. I am so mad at myself I will scream at the first person I can find."
Not many of us can say we haven't got caught with our pants down. It makes me so mad at myself I could spit.
-
Wait...there's people flying at 18K on this game?
I've posted that before.. that's one month worth of my buff killing in last autumn... look at the altitudes :noid

More bomber kills at 20k and above than below :old:

You can always trust a German to bring the statistics! :lol :aok

Last night I was in a pony cruising about 18k
:lol

I prefer to get smarty on 200, get challenged to the DA and then promptly lose...repeatedly.

We still haven't had that rematch. :t

just don't spit into your pants before you pull them back up... :D

The quiet role models arent copied because they are quiet. Ive seen lots of people "change" as they improve in the game, to immitate the big mouths, because they are the squeaky wheels, the ones who are heard. Sad.

really, except there was no ackrunning involved and the victim wasnt in a pony/la7 :lol

I lost my engine and went in to deack a field and rightfully died :)

When I was growing up, my mother gave me some sage advise. "The things that bother you most about other people are often the things that bother you the most about you".
This applies here. If an 18K pony whines about you beating him at his own game, then squelch and move on... :salute
