My dad and her are two years apart. :(
So far he's a very healthy 83 years old and active.

Not actually a surprise at her age, but definitely the end of an era. News like this make me feel older. She was two days older than my mother, whom I just met today. Both also having been married over 50 years with the same husband.

I fear for the day after tomorrow...
