Title: WWI disco upon entering arena
Post by: Stang on February 12, 2014, 08:23:05 PM
This is a new one, when I log into the WWI arena I get discoed within about 10 seconds every time, no idea why.  It is the only arena this happens in.  Skuzzy there may be some bug causing it, usually when I log into the WWI arena I lose UDP and it has to go to TCP, again this is the only arena that would happen in, but now it's just a straight disco in about the same amount of time I'd usually get kicked to TCP.  Anyone else having an issue?

Had the same problem last week.. gave up after 4 attempts and went back to LW, sucked because there was 24 players in WW1 and looked like fun.

As that arena is running on the same physical server as the Early and Mid war arenas, with the only difference being the ports used, I suggest either some anti-xxxx software is a potential problem, or your router needs to be rebooted, or you have a firewall issue of some type with the ports.

Hmm, maybe, but again this only happens in the WWI arena, not early or mid...

As Skuzzy said, the difference between the arenas are the ports, so check your firewall if you have defined any port settings there. I remember someone having set certain ports open for AH in his firewall, but for some reason his settings were wrong so he couldn't get on the arena when AH used a port outside of his range.

Resetting to defaults and reconfiguring if necessary might help.

And again, the only difference is the ports, unless you also have some custom sounds loaded for the WW1 planes.
