Title: Valentines Day and FSO
Post by: Big Rat on February 14, 2014, 05:56:36 PM
For some reason I'm not thinking a good combination :uhoh,  Hopefully I'm wrong and the numbers will still be around 300, but I'm thinking wife Ack may be thick enough to walk on for some members here tonight :cry

Yeah, the CM team has gotten a few emails on the subject of Valentines day.

I can't speak for Squire, but in my opinion Valentines Day is one of those casualties of the Calendar when it comes to FSO. Kind of rare to see them coinciding withan FSO frame, kind of like Halloween, where attendance could suffer due to parenting requirements.

We try to avoid the major holidays. Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Independence Day then Memorial Day Weekend, and Labor Day Weekend.

As a former FSO Team Lead, I can tell you that's these are the dates we try to avoid to allow for real life and family time. Unfortunately that means sometimes we get some of the other important dates mixed in.

We, the pilots of III./JG 11 would like to say a hearty "You are WELCOME" to the wives and girl friends of the 23 ALLIED FSO pilots that we ALLOWED to spend more time with them. Go out and have a GREAT VALENTINES NIGHT guys.

 :aok JG11!!!  Nice work!!!

As a representative leader of G3-MF, I would like to formerly request that those squads that couldn't make numbers last night due to wife ack NOT be penalized for February Frame 2 due to this freak timing of the calendar.

Personally, I pleased the wife ack BEFORE launch.  She was sound asleep while I was mixing it up in the cartoon skies.  And it only took 10 minutes of my time to prep for FSO.....
