Title: If I were a Multimillionare and had HiTechs Approval --->

I would set it up so players would receive US Dollars instead of Perk points:


Cannot imagine the Entertainment value In-Game not to mention the lively exchanges on the these Boards, I am thinking game would go viral at least for a bit until the plug was pulled on said gimick.

I would fly more :t

especially if

say...all assists counts towards the funds...say 1 kill is 1 dollar

2 guys got an assist and 1 other got the "kill"....

the 2 assists guys get .25$ while the "killer" gets the remaining .50$

or even better..it calculates the amount of damage each hit scores and divvies up the cake that way.

Yayyy, friends killing each other for 500$/h in EW  :banana:

By the way, landing and side balance perk modifiers aside, we are currently at something like 350,000 perks per tour in the late war arena.  :old:

Addendum: The number above reflects only perks made by kills. Bombing and strafing objects, base captures or supply runs are not included

There was a game that came out a few years ago that gave the ability for the player to gain real currency for eack kill and their score/rank.  The game only lasted a few months before the plug was pulled, close to 100% of the players used cheat programs in order to be able to win cash. 

No offense but it's a very bad idea.  And I'm being very kind with calling it a very bad idea.

Future fictional Aces High news item:

So, here's the story straight from Aces High. The rook coalition made up of the honeybadgers, the 56th and the Cjs, and other smaller squads missed a bill payment for the system that stores and stages their aircraft. Sovereignty dropped across the system because of this, and the Rooks were left vulnerable to capture.
The bishop squads, made up of various squads, used this opportunity to attempt to capture rooks country
Now there's an on-going war as the Rook coalition tries to re-secure their country. It's been over 10 hours since the battle started, and 57 B-29s, the biggest and most expensive bombers on Aces High, have already been destroyed. That's over $200,000 worth of bombers lost today alone.

If I were a millionaire and had the Hitechs approval i would completely overhaul this mofo... Completely new graphics top to bottom a la War thunder/Cliffs of Dover (course it has to run on my piece o crap pc pretty good as well tho)..  Then I would integrate the original flight/damage modeling with a few modifications.. Such as a more accurate flap/gear/dive brake modeling per aircraft.. (speed restrictions etc.) and maybe a little more precise damage modeling.. I'd throw in fuel mixture and supercharger controls.. There would be better more authentic sounds... Accurate historical terrains... Drop the rook/bish/knight concept in the Main Arena and go to Axis vs. Allies as the MA... rook/bish/knight as a secondary/dueling type arena possibly.. And thats it.. maybe add some limited troop or soldier first person type role also in the game..

you want the graphics of War Thunder....and the FM of AH and still run on your crappy PC.....

ever play cliffs of Dover?

do you have any clue what it takes to run a AAA game?

you have to have a give and take....for a wider customer base....

computers are a lot like cars...how fast you wanna go? how much money you have to spend?

besides the fact a WW2 game Aces High is NOT....
a side mission based system.... with AI and PvP... where you chose a country and have to say on it...separate from the MA is a way better idea then changing the MA....the sandbox aspect of the MA is what makes Aces High so awesome.

No worries Ack Ack , I agree with you 100% The entertainment value would be tremendous before the plug would have to be pulled. I do think it might work as a marketing ploy due to the addiction factor of normal game play.

The whiners of this game are the types that would leave anyway no matter how much eye candy/resources has been added, you either love aerial combat with the best FM around or you don't.

I don't quite follow your logic. Why would you be playing on a piece o crap pc if you were a millionaire? :headscratch:

I'd retire and commission an entirely new WW2 combat aircraft mmo, that used all the latest software innovations created in the last 10 years.
I 'd follow much of what HiTech's done for gameplay fun, but aircraft, gv and bullet physics would be as realistic as possible.
There would be a major emphasis on realtime gameplay techniques. The game server would be monitored by the latest in AI technology, there would be no hacks or cheats. Just pure war simulation gameplay.

Off to buy that lottery ticket.

within 20 seconds the secondary would be the primary and the ava would still be empty.

it's just a thought I really don't know what would be the best or the most fulfilling dogfight/battle environment.. so it is what it is..
