Noticed today that my bullets did not seem to be striking easy to kill aircraft, then a few seconds later the enemy plane would explode so I did a tracert.
Here are the results. Anyone else using Verizon Fios having issues?

No, not at all. That hop ignores the "ICMP ECHO" message so it is always going to show up as timing out.

FYI- Verizon in Texas is having troubles for the last few days, since Sunday 2/23.

Absolutely correct. Lot of damage done to the telco systems here. It is going to be a bit rough going while they are being repaired.
