The Fritz-x was a radio controlled 3450lb bomb credited with 79 ship kills most notitbly the Italian battleship "Roma". A Fritz-x attack also disabled the HMS "Warspite". It seems as though 319 were dropped of which 215 hit their respective target

This would be nice. I could see this being used but only on the He111. That way it can't be abused. :aok

He 111 never used this weapon operationally.

...are like the He 111 in this context. ;)

As Lusche pointed out, we do not have the airplane that was used operationally to launch the Fritz-X. We would need the Do 217K-2 bomber to be added to the game for the Fritz-X to be used.

"Germany developed the Hs 293 air-launched missile in World War II for use against ships or ground targets. It was basically a glide bomb assisted by a liquid-fuel rocket that fired for 10 seconds. The Hs 293 was carried under the wings or in the bomb bay of an He 111, He 177, Fw 200, or Do 217 aircraft. Its warhead was a modified SC 500 bomb containing Trialene 105 high explosive. A bombardier guided the missile by means of a joy stick and radio control.

Beginning in mid-1943, Hs 293s sank several Allied ships, mostly in the Mediterranean theater. Although Germany developed many experimental versions, only the Hs 293 A-1 was produced in quantity."

He-111's were only used during the testing of the Hs 293 and not on operational combat missions. The Hs 293 were used operationally by II/ Kg 100 (flying Do 217E-5s), II KG 40 (flying He-177 A5s), III Kg 40 (flying FW-200 C-3s), and a special unit from KG 200 (flying Do-217E-5s).

So what ....Tanks didn't shoot planes either...... it would be a fun option and it was dropped by a He-111 which we have in the game. :aok

Tanks did shoot at planes, that has already been proven. That you don't accept it is an entirely different matter and not germane to this subject.

According to these three sites, not in operational combat missions.

What kind of proof would I like to see for the P-63? There is ample records that it was used in combat in the Far East with the Soviets during their offensive against the Japanese, the only thing that is suspect are the two supposed A2A claims but not its use in ground attack missions.
