Walked outside without my sunglasses this morning and started singing this song to myself...I am so sick of cold, snow, ice....the crappie and sand bass are supposed to start running in the next few weeks and it won't stay nice long enough to work on getting my boat ready for pre-spawn feeding....Are the rest of you getting snowblind?

No

Here in scandinavia winter hasn't come properly at all this year so it seems that the cold weather just shifted a bit to your direction. I don't mind really, I save literally hundreds of euros on the heating bill.
-
I have it on good authority that it'll be over by Spring :old:
-
The last day of winter 2014 will be March 19. So saying "will winter ever end?", half a month before the actual end of winter kind of makes you.. what's the word I'm looking for?
-
Winter is coming....
and the night is dark and full of terrors. Like me.

Deep snow on a boat cover. SIN!

When I look outside and see snow on my boat I die a little on the inside... :( I had to use a hair drier to warm my duramax up yesterday morning before it would start....for some reason they don't come from the factory with oil pan heaters...lol
-
Last weather report i read a month ago was hot and dry over the middle of the country. A little winter aint so bad for me if thats the case.
-
We've been running the airconditioner for over 4 weeks now. Getting ready to pull up stakes and start heading north. Getting too warm down here in Southern AZ.

It is. Look at the global temps this winter. Other than NA they have pretty much all be way above normal.
-
seems like up here in vt most of the winter has been 0 or below, had -14 this morning and warms up to about 20. I like winter done some snowmobiling this year  but kinda ready for the summer to get here, sick of the below 0 crap then warming up to 40 in 5 days. crazy weather all over the country this year

I like how everyone tries to determine the average temperature of the entire planet using one thermometer located in their backyard during a few of the coldest days in February.

Boatcover supports were removed....cant see it...but the boat cover is covered by 3/4" plywood....thats why the 2x4s are there.....2x4s on boat...plywood on 2x4s....no chance of tearing the cover :D

I like how everyone freaks out about things they know knothing about.
They used to say live and let live. (you know they did, you know they did, you know they did.)
But if the ever changing world we live in, makes you give in and cry, say LIVE AND LET DIE. (Baow, Ba Baow...)

It was real but it's all better now. November 8 2008 was the moment that the oceans began to rise and the planet began to heal. ;)

What's a little snow? Over the past few years, we've had our share...
30 inches.

30+ inches.

This Ford F-350 Diesel got stuck in three feet of snow. Needed my snow blower and my Jeep to get him out. The driver, being a knucklehead, attempted to get through again. He got stuck again. This time, I left him to his own devices. I drove my neighbor to the pharmacy, to get insulin. Obviously, FedX wasn't delivering it for a while....

My dogs are telling me spring is getting near by the amount of hair they are shedding. Used to be I could sweep up every 2 days or so. Now I can sweep every day and each day Im getting enough dog hair swept up I could knit a new dog

365 days of riding per year for me living here in Phoenix. I will have lived here for fourty years now this summer. more than half the time I have not owned a car, just a motorcycle. Oh, and, Honda rulez ! New bike shoud be here in 6 weeks. This will be bike #49 for me that I have owned, ridden, and loved. No, I don't still have them all :cry

I like Honda but when it comes to sport-touring Kawasaki blows them out of the water. The Yamaha FJR comes a little closer but none of them have the power or spunk of the concours. Also since it's basically a ZX14 motor with shaft drive instead of chain drive you have lots of aftermarket options.
There's one guy on the Concours Owners Group that changed out his cylinders with ZX14 cylinders (higher compression) changed some of the gearing, and then turboed it. His Connie puts out like 240 at the rear wheel. Just absolute insanity.

pic related, right after I pulled it out of the garage today.
edit: I'd like to change the exhaust into a 4-2 instead of a 4-2-1. According to the dudes in the internets it's worth about 5hp. Then I'll throw a PCV on it and call it done.

supposed to be mid 60's but overcast..........still...... .... :D

Uh, usually you opt for lower compression if you turbo an engine.

Turbo's on a bike are barmy. I rode a Holeshot Hayabusa that the owner had spent a gazillion pounds on. It had a supercharger running from the crank and nitrous on the headlight flasher switch. It was utterly unrideable. In first and second a whiff of throttle would spin the back and lift the front simultaneously
Even with the huge power I had no problem leaving him on a stock CBR 1100xx because he simply could not convert power into forward motion, despite putting in the longest gears that would fit in the box.

Just looked out the window. Its a bloody white out. :rofl

Sounds like your friend was a top notch Darwin award candidate.
