Today I joined my friend Barkhorn / McShark on the forums, for two of his sorties.
In the first sortie as I was sitting, watching.. I was awarded a proxy kill on a bomber.
Second time I joined I just watched briefly and then hit end sortie.
When I checked my score, I have two flights listed as fighter, and 1 kill. This is all just from joining someone else.
