Title: Air Raid alert, "jump to" .dt command
Post by: JimmyD3 on March 05, 2014, 11:17:15 AM
In the MA we're always getting new alerts, it would be nice to have a .dt command that would jump you to the last base that was alerted. Or have the alert announcement include the base location, as P36 or A99 etc etc..

Likely you know about the dot command of ".move (insert base number here)" This allows you to immediately jump to the base in question. As for those who start blasting out emergency reports, NOE alerts, etc....accurate SITREPs are as old as the Roman Legions. Some are calm, cool and collected and report accurately. Others pee their pants and produce meaningless garble.

I think he's referring to the automated "base under attack"  alert, which doesn't give the field number.

Snailman has it right, with a big map and multiple conflicts in progress, an new "base under attack" alert means little if your trying to locate it.
