I need some help! We just started a new band called Whiskey Redemption and none of us are technologically advanced enough to create a logo! I've got a few ideas in my head if anyone has the spare time to play around with them! It would be greatly appreciated by the guys and myself!
Thanks

Why would someone need Photoshop for creating a logo? I thought a pen and a piece of paper would do. The result can then be digitized with a scanner after which some picture editing might clean the result. Of course a professional might rather use a graphics tablet to draw directly in digital, but anyway the drawing would be done by hand. Unless your logo ideas consist of lines, angles and curves which can be described by means of mathematics...
After all, a logo should be a piece of art in itself, not something you'd do using generic templates.

the best people that can do logos, believe it or not are tattoo artists. if they arent to busy and you have some ideas, it wont take long for them to draw something. if you are cool with them and of course pay accordingly.

If we were to leave it to pen and paper, we'd have a stick figure drawing for a logo :D
I will try to send my ideas to you guys as soon as I get off work today.

Photoshop is much more then editing photos, you can easily create a logo in it.

For creating a YouTube video I would recommend MS Expression Encoder 4 because it is free and/or has a free trial period.

Get someone that will do it in a Vector format, thats my advice. You could use it for small items or blow up to put on a blimp without pixelation.

I'm good with photoshop, but only when it comes to making horrible puns

you can easily create unwanted problems in any program. Im not saying illustrator isn't a great useful program, just pointing out photoshop is capable as well.
Personally I make things in Illustrator and then enhance them in Photoshop.

When I'm talking problems I'm talking about paying someone to recreate that wonderful photoshop logo in vector format when you could have done it the first time. I deal with this exact problem every day and have been for 15 years. I'm well aware how the programs work.
