(That left side swings out like a car door to allow ease of access)

(Yes the saitek pro flight switch panel is wired in to work with AH :D Custom 4 axis throttle and home made control panel beneath it.)

(wiring yay desktop aviators for this superb board)

(100 watt plate amp pushing a 50 watt tactile transducer "butshaker" attached to the bottom of the seat. 10 inch touch screen monitor that i use as my pc controller and temp/utility monitor)
FFB Joystick+Hotas+1 Subwoofer+1 Rumbler= immersive!!
My build is about half way done. Still need to build the dash/monitor stand and mount more switches-rotary-axis.
400 watt samsung surround sound encases u in your own world of sound.. sad thing is that with Track IR pro clip u need a headset.
So i miss it all with my tritton's on. but it works great for all other games. Rising Storm has me duckin :rock
Still gots to paint it all also but one thing at a time.
Waddya think? :salute

+2. Excellent work.

:aok nice!!!

Nice.
Have you considered how you'll go about extending it when you decide to go multi-monitor?
-
can't believe you never told me you had this thing going on. That is pretty rad.

Thanks kindly :)
Nice.

Yes but its a tricky if not at the very least expensive. The Ghost Series GC i have now wont do it because i would need 3 Dual DVI connections on the new GC.
I think there is an Invidia that has 3 true D-DVI's but its pricey and 2 more 1440p monitors will be equally expensive.
Architecture wise the Monitor Stand will bend near 45 degrees on either side to accommodate the 2 additional monitor stand bases. In front of this all will be the dashboard also bending 45 degrees out above the throttle and 10 monitor.
GEEK moment.
BluBerry!!! How could you not know? I thought i started building it around the same time we were squadies. Either way. Thanks buddy!! :D

Is it 5.1 surround?
How does it affect vox?

Yes it is 5.1 though with the tactile transducer it is really 5.2. I have the plate amp amplifying the sub-woofer signal from the samsung system to the transducer.
As to the vox, none of my squaddies have made a complaint yet. I have echo cancellation and noise suppression active and that may help though idk tbh.
I will Vox myself and see. Groovy question :aok

Is that box with your wires in it a defrost timer for refrigeration or a timer for restaurant lights or a plain Jane timer lol?

Quick question concerning the Saitek Landing Gear / Cockpit panel. My understanding is that that unit only works in MS Flight Simulator / XPlane I.e. it does not actually show up as a DirectX game controller and interfaces directly through special drivers with those sims. Is this correct? If so, how do you use it in Aces High? Did you pull the electronics out of that and wire it to the Bodnar board?
I have two GoFlight button panels in my pit but have similar problem that you face with using that Saitek module. The GoFlight controllers are normally MSFS only and do not show up as "game controllers". I'm able to use them now because GoFlight does provide software that can be configured to send keystroke commands when you flip a switch on the module so I can use it in game, but the software and quite frankly the GoFlight electronics are buggy and fail at times.
I've though about pulling the GoFight electronics boards off the two modules and wiring them to a button matrix that would interface with a Bodnar board I own but no longer use. Just haven't gotten around to doing it. I'm curious what approach, if any, you've taken.

Ok I have some pictures even to go along with this.

Desktop Aviators have a really cool series of board that allow you to take the switching signal and transpose it with a button press via that DA board i have pictured.
So long as the Saitek control panel is powered the computer reads it under devices as Model DP 2235. The 2235 lets me use the switches and toggle without the parental drivers or software.
Your goflight panels should work exactly the same in principal. Hope that helped.. i have issues explainin stuffs :lol
Only thing i haven't worked out yet is the lights for the Landing gear Red and Green. I'm not sure yet how to get them to light/light correctly.
Oh and ACE! its a plain jane timer box re-purposed of course :aok

Thanks. That's what I thought you were doing. I've seen the Desktop Aviator boards but I thought you might be using one of Leo Bodnar's boards, who also makes some really good stuff.
The Bodnar board I currently own and plan to use is here:
