Last night on his first FSO sortie with VF-17, NavyRigger, went way above and beyond the call of duty. Not only did he kill 6 enemy aircraft but he went back for a squaddie outnumbered and in trouble, without any ammo. By sacrificing himself he managed to get his squaddie home. Can't remember the last time we had a VF-17 rookie pilot first FSO with the squad, pull anything like that. Navy you set the bar high buddy, we obviously expect great things in the future from this one.

From my perspective...worth more than any number of victories... and what is at the heart of one life game play.
My compliments.

Ranger. Do you know where that comes from? During the Normandy invasion a set of MG42s were on a cliff overlooking the beach. A Captain gathered together a set of Rangers and told them to scale the cliff and knock out those machine guns. They looked the Captain right in the eye and said: "Who us?" It's been Hooah ever since!

Naaaaa No it is not.
The MARINES Have yelled OOH RAH for a 100 years... you know what Hooah is?
It is OOH RAH with a DICK in your mouth.... :rofl

"Rangers, lead the way" came from D-day. Been our motto and soul of the Regiment ever since. :aok
Ditto, I'll deal with you in FSO when killshooter is off. :furious

Wow, first time I ever got a shout out on the forums, let alone an FSO event. I'm honored fellas! At one point I put myself between the KI's and the friendly F4F just to soak up bullets and block their shots lol. The idea was to set them up on me so he could line up the shots. Didn't work out that way but I'm still glad he made it home.

Well done, NavyRigger!! :aok :salute

Well BigRat,
I must say he continued in Frame 3..
he was mis-matched in the planes so he joined us in the SBD's..
not only was he the 1st to spot the nme CV, he was the 1st in & the 1st to hit it..
I followed his lead & scored hits as well..
sadly, I lost track of him afterwards in the confusion..
but it was a pleasure winging with him..
<S> NavyRigger ..
