There is speculation going around about how to reset the map room after enemy troops have entered, assuming less than the required 10. :D
I have always understood it to be either the auto ack pops, or the town pops and goes colored flag. Others are suggesting that dropping our troops to run into the map room will reset it as well. Anyone have the correct answer? :old:

I go by the assumption that time is the only thing that resets the map room. Or, if the guns pop.

One interesting reset is if you spawn out of a base with an M3 to another base to capture, your troops will reset to another country if the base you spawned from is captured before you capture the new base. I am WAG guessing this happens on C47s as well.
Of late a rumor on the Vox comms are saying MG fire will not clear the map room of enemy pilot or such. It takes rockets or bombs. I have no idea if this is true or not. HTC?

This happened to be an almost absurd craze about 6 years ago. Suddenly there was the word out that you could reset the maproom with friendly troops. And very soon you could see that being done all over the place, because everybody 'knew' it worked.
Which actually never did. Several of us tested it in minor arenas and the SEA (no custom arenas back then) and found it to be a hoax... but even after presenting the results that didn't stop anybody from doing it.
After all, if so many people do it, there must be something to it, controlled tests be damned!
I guess ancient cultures felt the same when they knew their yearly human sacrifices caused the winter to go away and the spring to return ;)

I have a rock I keep by my computer that keeps the maproom for the other chesspieces from being reset.
