Maybe you could visit Uganda on a diplomatic courtesy call and say hello to Zack. If so please send him my kind regards. :old: :)
Best of luck.

Good luck to you. :salute

LOL! I was thinking the same thing, actually. That conflict is one of my favorite to read about, lots of interesting material.
I'm going to suggest that, if it isn't already in place, that the "independent fire at will" command be SOP. :aok
Oh, and if there are more than three natives together walking around after sundown they are to be considered a war party and may be fired upon. Oh wait, that law is for Yankton, South Dakota, USA, and may not apply in BFE, Africa. Disregard.
Good luck and stay safe! :salute

My brother has been here twice now with his P-3's with his last deployment ending this past December.
-
Please stay safe!

Never even knew the US had a base in Djibouti. Looks like a fascinating posting. Good luck with it. I've never been to Africa but it's definitely on the bucket list.
I envy you it has to be said. I was never full time military and our army has a long history of African deployments. I think I missed out there.

God Speed Zach. Keep in mind the Red Cross will not be able to take you blood donation here after :D
Hey, I do know know 2 of the guys in the Navy medical unit there. If you wish, I can give you there email addresses. I'd give you there land line numbers but they don't exist (seriously)
I appreciate your commitment and devotion to our great country. Please remember to write your congressman and and senators and express your concern as they do their best to cut DoD/Navy's budget.

Stay Salty Zach
