Title: Need a trainer that can review.
Post by: Sunka on March 20, 2014, 04:48:24 PM
I did some duels the other night and got my clocked cleaned (i did not expect this),so i reviewed the films and can only come up with one for sure thing i was loosing on.
Was wondering if i could send the series of fights via e mail and get a trainer or trainers thoughts?

 :headscratch:

would you rather do it privately because if not just throw them up here and you'll get tons of feedback.

You're also more than welcome to send them to me privately     djhayze21 [at] hotmail.com

fair enough, though I think you might be slightly under selling the wealth of knowledge held by the vast majority of forum members here and the generosity in sharing that wealth. I would always take as many viewpoints as possible then carve out what suits me.  :)

I mean, if you really stop and consider it, I don't think it is arrogant to say this forum holds the world's largest living collection of experts on world war two dogfighting tactics honed by years of hands on practice and study of genuine literature. That is quite a claim, I know, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was true.

Plus the trainers may not be as "versed" in the planes involved as say Latrobe in a 109, Ammo in a p47, Twinboom in a 38, or Greebo in his F6. These guys know their rides VERY well and might see a trick that a trainer who doesn't know them inside out, might miss.

Right on Fugi that's why i added .

I just seen to many my 2 cents opinions from guys that just talk more then they know how to fly.
But yes there are many great sticks in this game that are not trainers and have and can help me,the one i was dueling for instance.

Looks like you are going to be getting a wealth of great advice already.

But if you still want another perspective after all that, I'd be happy to take a look for you.

Based on what?  What criteria are you using for the ranking? Also, just from reading your many posts, I'd say you beat yourself.  You underestimate the general flying public in AH.  You need to just accept the idea that anyone at anytime in any aircraft might just beat you.

:aok
Exactly ,never accept limitations on yourself!
I strive to be better all the time ,yes i want to be better then not only 40% or 80% of AH flying community but 100% ,the day i stop striving for that i might as well quit AH.

Some players accept they will get shot down and expect me to accept it also, but i want to win ,always.

Sunka, I don't think Latrobe would send you away.  He spends a lot of time reviewing and posting great films, which I am sure you have seen.  I don't think he is a trainer, but he is certainly knowledgeable enough to make it worth your while.

Again I'll ask the question: What is the criteria for ranking a pilot to be as good as a trainer?  Also, Please show me by quote exactly where I stated that you should “accept loosing”.

I'll take a wild guess that a response that is helpful and informative is "as good as a trainer" and a response that is critical without being helpful is not.

Sunka, I offered you to ride with myself and my squad after our friendly duels.
Myself and 2 squadmates were in the DA for a good hours or 3 yesterday.
As I am yet to see the opportunity used, I would like to point out that; The offer is still there and very much open.
