Hey guys I was wondering if there is a way to slow down the rounds being shot. For example since flying a 109 it carries 150 cannons and 1000mg rounds. Is there a way to reduce the speed the cannons are being fired so that u don't go bingo on cannons and still having over 50% of mg rounds left. I hope some of u can understand what I am trying to say. <Rud3boi>

Set a button on your stick to MGs only, that way you can fire the machine guns independently of the cannon, and only open up with the cannon when you have a clear shot.
-
The guns fired at a set rate. As far as I know, there was no plane mounted gun that had variable firing rate.
-
The rate of fire is fixed and is set to match its historic counterpart.

Oo copy that skuzzy. I was just curious

Gotta tap the trigger man. The ammo seems like very little at first, believe me, but as you get use to the guns and how they work, you will be able to get 5 or 6 kills in most planes. Sometimes if you are real good you can get 9 or 10. Gotta make your shots count and get use to the gun type and how well they work on fighters.. Bombers obviously take more damage thus more bullets. But they help greatly with hit % and fighter points. :salute

this ^^^.
I have mg set to primary and cannons set to secondary. that way for example in il2 I will only shoot cannon at tanks and see the rounds better without interference from mgs. but if I need to shoot both then I press both button.
In airplanes like 262 it helps a lot.

The 109's can carry 200 cannon too.

I know the 109 can carry 200 cannons also lol I was just using an example. It's me Rud3boi I know the planes loadouts. I was just curious if there is a way to increase or decrease fire rate on the guns.

Fly the K4. MK108 has a slow rate of fire. :D

It hasn't. One of the advantages of the MK 108 design was a relatively high rate of fire for it's caliber, about 650 rpm. In comparison, the Hispano had 600-700, the MG 151/20 600-750. It's the signitificantly more powerful Mk 103 (Me 410) with a lower ROF of about 400 rpm.

Indeed. The default sound is NOT representative of the rate of fire for the Mk 108. May I suggest you check out the sounds forums and download the correct rate of fire sound. It makes a HUGE difference in how you audibly calculate your rounds fired. :D
