:aok Excellent video. I hope that camera is a permanent fixture on the ride, because I hope to see more in the future. I thoroughly enjoyed the film and great choice in music.
After living in New Jersey and driven much of the route posted in the film, it was exciting to see and recognize them from above.
I was at times a little concerned for your well being. I was half expecting a Raptor to zoom in and force you to land. :neener: But that is just silly me, from that camera perspective, I imagine everything looks much closer than it really was.
Please do post more as you have time. This goes into my favorites for sure.
One other thing, how did you get the Aces High water to turn that murky Hudson River color? :lol
-
Thanks Chilli~ I have quite a few videos with that camera mounting on my YouTube channel. All of them in the NYC Hudson River Valley area.

The tower was probably furious at him doing 'take 25' to get bragging rights :devil

Thanks for the link to channel :) I have to ask who was the hottee in Beech Party? :old:
Also, I have to admit that while watching film from cockpit view my ultimate dweebness arose.
I actually instinctively grabbed my joystick to try and adjust my Hat Position for views ...................... :joystick: ...................... :rofl
Man, glad you posted here. Maybe one day you will make it down the coast to ole Virginia.
Have fun and keep those propeller blades churning. :aok

I agree with others, great video, fantastic music - very interesting perspective of the area, especially over the city.
-
Dog,
Do you fly with Anil and his A36 out of ISP?
-
I haven't made many trips with the Northeast Bonanza Group yet, A36 outta ISP isn't ringing a bell yet. The blond is Rachel of FAST aviation. Spare aircraft parts in Florida.
I just posted a new video I made yesterday of a flyby of the Pilot ship I worked on offshore. "Pilot Station GoPro Flight"

Nice video... Looks like you had a lot of fun.
One very interesting thing your video shows is the well documented Bonanza dutch roll oscillation. It's very minor and well damped, but still visible. It's a phenomena associated with the V-tail.
-
I don't think Dutch roll describes it well. Feel more like a slow dog tail waggle, but only in the dirty configuration, full flaps and gear down. Strangely enough. straight tail Debonair and Bonanza models have the same behavior. It is a little startling at first but a little positive rudder pressure really neutralizes it. It must have something to do with the fuselage shape.
These planes are brilliantly solid and well mannered yet very responsive and fast. I am a Beechcraft convert for sure.

Seadog,
"Look at me......... Look! at me!....... I'm the captain now......" ;)
Nice work station. Just wondering how the cold snaps we have been having affected your work. Although we didn't have much ice here in Virginia, I imagine the waters were a bit chillier up north.
