I got to tinkering offline in a German Panzer, and wanted to ask if someone could confirm the following observation.......
A tank, at 1000 yards from the player's panzer, would appear to fill the bottom of the large 4 mil triangle with the tracks of the tank. So one could surmise that if a player was to look at an opposing GV, and that the opposing GV's tracks "extended" to each side of the triangles bottom, then they were closer than 1000? This assumes that the player is viewing the opposing GV from the flank.

Yes the triangles all mean something with reference to range.

Holy cow, that was as about as simple as guide as I've read. Looking forward to getting Offiline and applying these techniques! THANKS MUCH for posting that link!

no problem <S>

That was a good read, very simple explanation. I am afraid to try the math now for fear of it will slow me down when tanking and give them red devils a chance to get out of my sight. :devil
