Ill begin with saying that I am horrible when it comes to the workings and functioning of a computer. Just recently I have noticed that my frame is consistently getting worse in the MA. I started tinkering with settings and such and did more harm than good. Its worth noting that each time I key'd f12 to talk in range my computer would (misfire). Another thing worth noting is my mic preformance is horrible. I practically have to yell into my mic to be heard. I have those settings peaked out. I feel like the sounds are what are hampering my frame rates. When a plane gets close to me in combat i seem to get slower as well and the sounds are not what they used to be. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I have killed my back ground aps and cleaned my computer in hopes it would help with no avail....
-
Have you boosted your mic? Maxing the slider isn't usually enough to get you heard.
A DxDiag output (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ymvl5Xu-SIo&list=TL5VpZZ-VsJrvG2czTa5Zfvt-GqZntvBGk) would help to see what your computer is capable of.
-
As well as what settings your using in game too.
-
How do I do that stuff?
-
Also my frame rate is fine in the dueling arena just not the main arena.
-
How do I do that stuff?
Click this underlined link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ymvl5Xu-SIo&list=TL5VpZZ-VsJrvG2czTa5Zfvt-GqZntvBGk) which will lead you to a HiTech Creations Youtube tutorial video which mostly is about DxDiag. The first third of the output is sufficient.
-
So what should I do in the dxdiag?

So what should I do in the dxdiag?
Click the "save all information" button and save it to your desktop or some other convenient place. Then copy the first third of it and paste it here.
-
OK. Ill try it. Give me a few.
-
I appologize. Im still working on that..

Cremator, your computer doesn't have actual bottlenecks, it is one. It was a decently balanced mediocre low end gamer when it was new, now even lightweight games such as Aces High are getting to be too much for it. There's several points where your computer doesn't meet the current minimum requirements (http://www.hitechcreations.com/gameinfo/gameinfo-minimumreq): Both the RAM and video memory are only half of the minimum.
You've pretty much done what can be done with that computer, gaming wise. It's time to get something newer.
-
Well shucks. Any recommendations on a good unit for gaming?
-
Cremator, you are by far not the only one
I have been having the same exact issues as well, also attempting to fly close on the ground or taxing I run into massive lag spikes... And my laptop is still fairly new...
FBDragon has seen the same problems as well to the point where it is unplayable while flying close to the ground!
-
There is not doubt that my computer is out of date and I will most likely purchase a new one based on me "wanting more" from the game. Up until recent ive had no problems with my current unit. Who knows....
-
Depending on your budget you can purchase one ready to go or you can go to different websites and purchase parts and build it yourself.
Www.cybetpower.com is a good site for pre built as is www.ibuypower.com .
If you feel brave go to www.newegg.com and www.tigerdirect.com for parts to build your own. There is no greater feeling than to buy and build your own rig. People here will give opinions but always do research to make up your own mind.

Looks like Best Buy has a 0% Apr right now for 18 months right now. That may be the route I take.

Does not matter how new it is. It is lacking in video RAM. With 512MB of dedicated video RAM, you can easily run it out of resources which will manifest as all manner of stutters.
It looks like you are using the built-in video chip, which exacerbates the problem. When it has to go to system RAM, the CPU is locked from executing anything as there is only one memory bus for both to share.
Basically, you need to crank down all the graphic settings. Start with "Maximum Texture Size". Should be no higher than 512. The only "Advanced" graphic options you might get away with enabling is "Detailed Water" and, possibly "Detailed Terrain".

Make sure to disable ground clutter while in flight. It's an option in your graphics settings in the game.
