My dad landed in Normandy, possibly soon after the initial landings and many sacrifices of D Day.  His recollection of that time was brought to mind by this tiny peek at development on water system a month ago.  According to dad, the day he landed, there were incidences of capsides and makeshift floatation device failures in rough seas.
