Background:
The museum I volunteer at is restoring a Fairchild 24. I was doing some painting on the computer to try and come up with something for it in a civilian paint scheme. We have not decided if we are going to paint it civilian or miltary yet but this is what I came up with.
Civilian
V1

V2

On another site, someone said about
And then someone said about it Or a late war gloss sea blue with stars and meatballs, a striped rudder, invasion stripes, a shark mouth, and nose art on the door incorporating some clever pun. Whatever turns your crank, just get people flying.
So here is what I came up with.

So what do you think?

prefer V1 of the civilian over V2. Not digging the full length checkerboard stripe on the fuse and prefer the full checkerboard on the rudder.
checkerboarding or solid red for the wheel hubs might look interesting too.
