VOF-1 and VF-74 operated off of CVEs during Operation Dragoon, the invasion of southern France (August 1944). These Hellcats shot down 8 Luftwaffe bombers and transports.
Pictured here is F6F-5 (early build with small windows behind cockpit) White 8 of VOF-1. This Hellcat scored 4 kills flown by two different pilots. Two He 111s and two Ju 52s.
If I can find the time, I'll generate this skin. However, if anyone else wants to tackle it first, please go ahead... It's a very unique Hellcat, to say the least.

It's not that I'm not interested, it's that the F6F model is the AH 1 standard. I would rather wait until it gets updated before doing it.

It is the updated version.

:huh
I must have been thinking of the F4F and FM2.

I can skin this if you like, although I'll have to replace the swastikas with crosses.

Greebo, that would be wonderful.... :aok
Your F6F skins are gorgeous and your method of simulating the aft windows of the F6F-3 with artwork is a fantastic touch.
I've shown some of your skins on the Facebook F6F page. They look vastly better than the FSX skins I've seen.

Author Barrett Tillman shot me a private message, telling me that your artwork was the best he's seen for any virtual F6F. He's right. The attention to detail and shading is amazing.
Again, thank you for the offer.
