Title: Prayers

My best friend of 30 years passed away early Friday morning. He had 3 children. They are all torn up over it.
If you dont do prayer, send good energy to his kids so that they can make it through all of this and move forward in life without their father.
My heart is broken. But im also extremely angry with him. Drug addiction and alcoholism not only effects that person, but everyone in that persons life.
We are the ones left to pick up the pieces and move on the best we can.

Right there with you bud....  He is in a much better realm and his family will cherish his memory.  The fact that he was a good friend of yours is testament to his good virtues in life.  Just remember that there are things in life we all wish to change, but we are powerless over them.  Take comfort in the blessings that each new day brings us.  Those blessings are what empower us to change the things in life that we are able to.

Sorry for your loss. In the last several months I have lost my sister and six good friends. Getting older things like this happen. Just try to remember the good :pray

 :pray.   After a 2 year long relationship with an alcoholic gf I realized just how truly powerless loved ones and friends are in these situations.  You can't want change badly enough for them, for it to happen, they have to want it for themselves.

 We often do not, or can not, see what is coming ahead..we can only deal with what is left behind.

Thanks guys. He was my musical soul mate. He was the best guitarist I have ever had the honor to play on stage with. It was amazing to share a stage with my brother. This was the only time he was at peace.

Lost mine 13 years ago. Same thing. Alcohol. Got drunk and wasnt paying attention walking across a highway at night.
More then one way for drugs and alcohol can get ya
