You don't have to pre-register, you could walk-on.
I think those who pre-register are guaranteed a spot on the side they choose, or guaranteed a spot in the scenario in general.

But I am sure if you choose to walk-on for any frame that you will be accepted.

Scenerios are great, FSO is good, but an every night (USA PRIMETIME)  or every other night scrap -- even if just a 2 hour event with different maps and a declared winner at the end would ROCK.  No preordained orders, no just show up 10 minutes before GO and get on a side, mods there to keep sides even -- even if they weren't back in WWII.  Have maps applicable to the battle at hand and a limited plane set to what the folks had during that battle in WWII.  Have it be all air some nights, all gv some nights, European and Pacific battles.  Mix it up even some nights, to keep it fresh.  The "navy planes" night would fi into this idea -- if not even giving players a place to practice in a competitive arena before the far larger scenerio.
