 the red troop thing has something to do with the film viewer, Smitty's troops were red!

If after you leave a base, that base is captured then the troops you are caring belong to the country that captured the base you left from.

I was there but didn't know where the troops came from albeit I did not see any red troops for sure so it must be viewer.  The country change thing did happen to our squad a few months back.
