Title: What provider do you have?
Post by: Tinkles on May 20, 2014, 05:53:40 PM
Cost for Comcast in my area are quite high.  Does anyone know an internet provider that has the ability of personal wifi (for family app games *shrug*).

Would appreciate any help on the matter.

I have Charter cable for my internet. I use a cisco router to hardwire 4 computers as well as a number more wirelessly (at times 3 more). Also all 4 cell phones jump onto the wireless when in range as well as my sons tablet. It's a wonder I can fly at all!   :D

Verizon (FIOS) for me in NJ usa.

Internet TV and house phone for about 110 a month. Don't have HBO that would be a bit more. Not many issues with the wifi like some I know with Comcast.

You don't need your ISP to provide wireless access. You can pick your own router and connect it to your ISP modem.
Be wary of cheap ISPs that oversell their bandwidth.
