Title: Holiday thought
Post by: Maverick on May 23, 2014, 10:39:38 AM
For those in the US, it's a 3 day holiday weekend. Memorial Day. Please take the time to remember what the reason for the holiday is and spare a moment to say a prayer for those who gave all to provide us our freedom. We owe them a debt that can never be repaid. I thank God that men and women like them lived.

:pray :salute For my fallen Brothers and Sisters in Arms.

Also toss a $5 or $10 bill in the can the Vet is holding at the store this weekend. A lot of older Vets need help.

Also the flag should be displayed at 1/2 staff until noon and then raised to full. At sun down it should be brought down unless lit by artificial light.

It takes five minutes to place a flag on the grave of a fallen soldier in every single cemetary around the North America. That is what I will be doing way before I load the car or fire up the grill . To all our vets I say thank you !! TO all our Fallen soldiers I say You will NEVER be forgotten!
