Soo... .are we going to start seeing charts of formula-to-full-diaper conversions? Frequency, Range, Lethality?
Boggles the mind!
My daughter just graduated high school.. When we were new parents I received a bit of sage advice from a friend, so I shall pass this on.. Do yourself a favor.. NEVER say 'I can't wait until... ' .. it will come and go faster than you can possibly imagine.

Jolly good show Snail :aok

Congratulations, Snail!
The two best pieces of advice I got when my first son was born:
1.) Never wake a sleeping baby.
2.) Never chase a kid if you know you can't catch him. :devil
-
Congratulations to you and your family! This was certainly the best news for today. From experience I can tell the time will fly (my baby is now allowed to drive a car and vote), but that shouldn't mean you should quit flying. The long bomb runs can still be useful! :aok
-
WTG on SnailJR (Yes, that's his CPID!)
Every baby crib needs a joystick!
-
Congrats Snailman!
It's hatching season for Gastropods? :D
Whenever your Excel Sheet on this one goes #####, feel free to ask.
:aok

My little girl is 8. I miss having the smallest versions around. Just remember, they cry for no apparent reason at times. Don't get frustrated, just bounce them. It will be like this for the first 6-9 months.
-
And next comes the terrible twos.
-
Congrats Snail, couldn't happen to a nice guy.
The few comments about growth charts and such gave me a chortle or two. I wonder if that child has any idea what's in store in the near future - lots of charts and statistics from everything from chores to homework. :lol
-
Congratulations Snailman, when does he start growing his shell? :)
-
Congrats, L. I assume he'll be learning diff. eq. this fall.
-
Congrats Lusche! :aok
Tell me are they born with a shell or does that develope over time?
JK. :devil
You're a lucky man,the wife looks great for just spawning and the pollywog is cute as a button! :aok
Better get some sleep while you can,pie charts arent going to help one little bit. :old:
:salute
-
Congrats !!!
You will soon learn to fly with joystick on right side, and have her sleeping hanging over your other shoulder while you play.
Did my training in Warbirds that way half a year each with my daughters.
My wife told me she never understood how that could be comfortable for both of us.

Life as you knew it has now ceased to exist and your world will never be quite the same again. Before this you only thought you knew what love was.
Now you will know.
What you have there you will love like no other you have known before. More then yourself.
What you have there you will find will be both your greatest source of both aggravation and pride. Sometimes within moments of each other
Enjoy it. Savor every moment. Because years from now that moment in the picture you show there will seem like only a couple of weeks ago as your child is walking out the door.
-
Congratulations!
-
Ein schöne kleine zukünftiges Jagdflieger! :aok

Thanks everybody for all your kind words and advice, not only in my name but also in the name of my wife... even though she is quite confused by all the strange names I mention to her ;)
I didn't mention it's a boy, called by the name of Alexander:
Congrats, L. I assume he'll be learning diff. eq. this fall.
If he's anything like his dad he will never solve them. Because I can't either. Contrary to the picture some seem to have about me, I actually suck in maths, always did. I can't even really solve ordinary quadratic equations... in school I almost had a solid "F" in maths. :uhoh
But there's always hope... he could come after his mother, someone with a knack for math and more importantly a practical approach to life. Maybe he can learn from me that wasting your time and efforts on games doesn't get you far in life. :old:
Not sure if the "don't do as dad does" style of education does work well, though... :noid
Thanks again everybody! :rock
-
Congrats, man! Got three myself - they change you in ways you can't imagine! :)

Like th ename - both my nephews have it, though one as a "middle"... Anyway, yes, doing metrics and maths are two different things. As for the maths, its not all that relevant anyway, so long as you can think clearly. The two often are confused by people.
-
BTW, Lusche, where are you at in ruhrgebiet? I'm often in NRW - at least lately.
I've got to say, I like Koln and Bonn, at least. My main problem is that I tend to gain weight there. It's got something to do with long work hours and good schnitzel and chocolate. It took a couple of weeks of working out to burn off that last trip.
-
Congrats, Snail!!!
Just saw this. I was away in a magical land called Phoenix, Arizona for a week.
-
Congratulations and all the best to Lusche, Mrs. Lusche and Alexander! :)
-
Congrats Lusche and Mrs Snail. Live long and prosper Alexander.

Congrats! :salute
