I've been getting into the GV's more and more lately, and there's a hell of big hole in the set.
For EW GV's, there's a few good choices.
M3 Stuart
Same gun as the M8, but up to 51mm of armor be the 12(?)mm of the M8.
Crusader Mk II and III. 50 mm of armor, and a 40mm and 57mm respectively.
Would also give us a good opportunity to add the Crusader AA vehicle with twin 20mm's.
BT-7 fast, lightly armored tank. 45mph, but only 20mm of armor on the hull and 15 on the turret. 45mm L/46.
Panzer III F, J, and M.
30mm all around armor for the F, mounting both the 37mm and 50mm L/42.
The J being upgraded with 50mm on the front and rear hull, and turret front, and carrying either the 50mm L/42 or the L/60.
And the M having 20mm applique armor on the front hull and turret, the 50mm L/60, and having the same hull as the Stug III G.

Would be a fun challenge knocking out other tanks with them. :D

Would be pretty easy with the Panzer III M or Cruiser Mk III, if they give them APCR and APDS.
157mm for the III M's 50mm, and about 140mm for the Mk III's 57mm firing APCR and APDS respectively.

Aren't those MW tanks? Anyway yes, early and mid war vehicles aren't represented well in AH. M3 tank, valentine, Ba-6 etc.

when is the cutoff? The J and and Mk III are early 1942 tanks, the L (functionaly the same as the M, only it doesn't serve as the chassis for a StuG) is a late 1942.
-
Well it doesn't really matter but the war started sept 1939 and ended sept 1945 so 1942 is smack in the middle.
-
Love to see the panzer MK III and the Stug III. The Stug III was the most produced armor vehicle for Germany of WWII. :aok

Lots of EW tanks could be added, but why? There's so few populating that arena and they are just there to get their name on the front page every month (from what I can tell), not that there's anything wrong with that.
Many British, Russian, German, even Japanese/Italian tanks could be modeled, but our attack aircraft easily kill them and LW gvs would just laugh at them.
-
why would ah want to put more tanks or anything else in ew arena.when there's hardly anybody in there-like rotbaron said.
in LW the only reason i would drive a weaker tank-is when Knights have eny against us.
more EW armour is a waste of resourses and time.
but this is just me..

Following that logic, there's no reason to add anything but the Meteor, He 162, and He 177.

there's lots of other airplanes or tanks that would see far more use than ew tanks. even then too some of the late war airplanes that have been added lately hardly see any use. I havent seen a b29 in a couple of months. same for the he111.

Yup, that's what we need in a flying game, MORE tanks, and old ones at that! :neener:

Might want to inform Hitech, as he seems to be unaware of this. Or it might be that you're wrong, and the guy used to enjoy runway vulching with a T-34.

fugitive you better read this again
High fidelity flight simulation is the heart of Aces High but it doesn't end there. A war rages on the ground and at sea. Engage enemy armor in tank combat. Protect your fleet as a gunner or make a torpedo run in a PT boat. Lead an assault in an amphibious vehicle. With over 100 warbirds, vehicles, and boats available, you have access to a vast virtual arsenal.
-
just saying: Matilda. The old lady must have a spot in AH.
-
This may not be EW, but I think the DD Sherman would be an interesting GV addition. Could spawn like LVTs and help provide tank cover and help WF a town for a CV take. For EW tanks, the M3 Lee, some EW Russian GVs, the early M4, the Matilda, and the Crusaders would make a pretty good EW tank set
-
The early M4 was effectively the same as the A3. Same gun, same effective thickness of armor. Adding it would be a bigger waste than adding the M2 halftrack.
