Title: New planes
Post by: ONTOS on June 15, 2014, 11:29:46 AM
Once again it's time to put forth the Fiat G 55 as an addition to the inventory. Also for your consideration, the Reggiane Re 2005 ( I know not many were built, but they did see service), also to those who want older planes, the Fiat CR 42, a biplane yes, but was used effectively.
 :old:
OK , let the abuse begin.

Stop the world, I want to get off.

Pe-2, Ki-100, and Wellington are my three bets for the next new aircraft. All three present note worthy holes in the AH plane set.  Beyond that, I can see the D520 and Fiat G55.

Next up in the remodel will be the TBM, 110x and Ki-61 (when Ki-100 is added).

Next up in the current AH aircraft expansion (more variants of same model), will be a more pre-war/early war version of the Brewster Buffalo that we're more familiar with: the F2A (or B339x?).

Hope HTC adds the Ju-188, Do-217, H8K, SM.79, and P.108 soon. Axis bombers seem to be lacking.

The P-51 c is the same as the P-51b, the difference, the B model was made in Inglewood Calif., and the C model was made in Dallas Tex. The bird cage type canopy was replaced in England with the Malcolm Canopy.

Gladiator and Swordfish would be good additions, though they'd probably only see use during FSOs and scenarios as they won't be competitive in any of the main arenas and would probably be hanger queens.

ack-ack

All Italian! I personally believe only one stands a chance but I still salute you for all three requests!  :salute

I can dig this, as well.

The Fiat G 55 will be a cool addition as long as AH doesn't get weather, and model issues due to rain.  The Fiat will be grounded...

TBD - for scenarios and FSO

SB2C - for a new ground attack airframe that would probably see use in the MA, and when I played; dive bombing was one of my favorite activities

H8K - for the float plane category that might eventually be added

Whirlwind - because in AH it wouldn't suffer all the engine problems that limited it in real life

Do335 - just to throw in something that won't ever see inclusion but would be awesome if it did. :neener:

CAC Boomerang - because it would add a new country to the list

J2M - for something that might be better able to intercept high alt B-29's in FSO and scenarios

*not a new plane but it would be nice to see a few more P47 razorback options when that line gets updated*

IAR 80- because it would add a new country to the list with a fighter that actually did something.

Fixed

You misspelled CAC boomerang :noid :D

honestly, I have never been able to muster any personal support for the IAR 80. Not knocking it; it just isn't interesting to me beyond wondering what kind of (if any) amplifying effect the placement of the cockpit so far from the pivot point of the wings has on the Gee forces the pilot experiences.
