The Romanian Air Force received 12 Hawker Hurricanes in 1939, out of a total of 50 ordered. These were early Mk Is with fabric covered outer wings and delivered in the standard 1939 RAF scheme of dark earth, dark green and silver undersides, with one black and one white lower wing.
The Hurricanes equipped the 53rd squadron of the Romanian Air Force with this aircraft being flown by the CO, Captain Emil Georgescu. When the Romanians joined the Axis invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941 the Hurricanes received yellow ID markings to prevent friendly fire.

Nice skin! I always thought the black underside of one wing was unique to Tuck's plane.
Was it to break up the profile when viewed from below?
Does anyone know why it was done?

RAF used it as an IFF for friendly AAA units. It was used widely on Hurricanes and Spitfires early in the war.

Thanks guys, glad you like it.
As for other countries' skins, I'm also intending to do French, Yugoslavian and Belgian Hurricanes at some point in the future.
