I had almost forgotten what fun AH can be. However this evening I did actually manage to get a few kills despite being away (as a guess 6 months or more). It also helped that being an adult I was at least allowed on line to FUI (as opposed to DUI!) which usually helps in my longer absences as it slows the response and allows a smoother flight! I did crash land on the first sortie as I had almost forgotten what the buttons did and spent too much time trying to find out rather than flying!
One query though, are numbers dwindling? - What can be done if so.
I'll check when I get back as Holidays call (That's a vacation to you yanks ;) PS Sorry to the ROW), so off to Turkey for a couple of weeks.

Welcome back! As for the numbers, it seems like there's less folks than used to be, and it has been discussed for quite a long time. What can be done? You've already taken a great step by rejoining! Here's another idea: Us Finns have a thread on our squad forum titled "Meaning for the flying night" to remind us why we used to enjoy those long playing nights. It's quite inviting to see someone announce he'd be online during a certain time on a certain day. Not to mention others answering they'd be glad to join for some good group action. Through that thread we've found much of the joy we thought was lost forever due to us getting older, the game getting stale, whatever reason. But the fun was still there, we just had to get together to enjoy it. I believe very few AH'ers play the game to beat oneself or to become #1 in the monthly rank. It's the social aspect that keeps this game alive while many novelties rise and fall.

Well put Bizman, I think Skuzzy put this :old: icon on the forums just for me, but I prefer this one -> Welcome Back Blagard. I hope your stay in Turkey is pleasant.
