Title: VMF-122 Corsair

Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin. There are some colour photos of this aircraft here (http://f4ucorsair.tripod.com/photo8.html).

This F4U-1D of VMF-122 was flown by 1st Lt Don Wilson during the Battle of Peleliu in late 1944. The USMC fighters provided close air support for the ground troops trying to dislodge the well dug in Japanese defenders of the island.
