Multiple small towns near me in Washington state have burnt completely to the ground due to massive wildfires including gas stations and such services. HUNDREDS of people have lost there homes and most are low income family's. If y'all folks all over the state's still want you Washington grow potatoes and Apple's send a prayer out for all of the victims!!

Wildfires are dangerous enough in my neck of the woods. I can't imagine a wooded area like you see in Washington. Stay safe. :salute

It's a terrible situation and I have the utmost sympathy with those affected.
However I doubt prayer is going to help. Money, shelter, food, medical supplies would all be of more use. I imagine that many have been praying furiously about this and yet still it happens.
Mysterious ways and all that

Prayers sent. Good luck man, bad deal.

Scary situation. We had one fire get within 10 miles of our city. When the embers started falling from the sky and the smoke made it hard to breathe... :uhoh Thankfully the wind did not force the fire into town. only 30-40 homes got burned. Strangely some properties were spared for various reasons, leaving a clean house amongst complete char. Within a year life was returning and the trees that made it will be huge some day (Although very few did). Nowadays the city has grown into and trough the burn of this fire, so if this same fire happened today much more damage would have been done. The enjoyable part of this fire, and all the others that happend every year, was going up on a hilltop and watching those monsters burn. :O
Sadly our forests are not managed properly. Fires that naturally occur have been suppressed, and the fuels in the forest are at an extreme level. Most people in charge with half a brain understand this, and efforts to clean and manage woodlots surrounding high value property, look pretty cool. Nice big trees, limited undergrowth (mostly natural grass and ground cover), and would probably be great habitat for large mammals we like to eat.
Be safe out there, and much respect to the guys out working in the heat, cutting down trees and removing brush to create a fire break. :salute

I agree with you however..a prayer never hurts my friend

Been watching the fire situation for over a week now. We are on the Peninsula of Washington and after 4 months here, getting ready to head East. We'll be traveling right through the center of the state and fire zones with our rig next Sunday. I'm hoping the weather change will help out and let them get the fires under control. Last year there was a lot of smoke when we traveled through the Yakima area as well.
