Colorado police in general act uptight with everyone. Their state has been invaded by California, New York and Chicago during the past 25 years; unfortunately the LEO's seem to take it out on everyone instead.

That's just my personal feeling/observation in my 8 yrs there.

Not to climb on a high horse or anything, but in my 55 years I have NEVER had an issue with a cop in any of the many states I have been in. It could be because I acted like an adult, answered the questions with out any attitude, and co-operated in any way that I could. We don't know the "rest of the story" as it was only told from one point of view. Most of these stories are just that, jaded points of view. I find that if your a good boy you don't seem to run into this kinds of trouble.

Actually, this guy may be alive today because he refused the free ride. People have disappeared after being pulled over by the local police.

2 to 3% of the population are sociopaths.  There are actually a higher percentage of sociopaths in the military and law enforcement (I'll provide sources if requested).  A cop in the city where I went to high school (Jeffersontown, KY) got road rage in a movie theatre parking lot and shot a man to death.  I knew the cop.  He was a ticking time-bomb.

Most cops are good.  I was speeding on the way home from working at a power plant, while eating a hamburger.  The cop pulled me over.  I was doing about 15mph over.  He saw that I was dirty, driving back home (couple hundred miles), and told me to slow down and have a good day.

Boy imagine that, a Seattle guy telling a negative story about the Police.

And Im sure the copper "threw" the guys DL back at him. We know right away when we get one of these drama queens stopped. They can actually convince themselves of some alternate reality cause they live in it and believe it. In their minds this really is Berlin circa '37 and we are the goose steppers.

Its why decent working folks that act like adults never get a ticket from me for minor violations. I save the ink for the Drama Queens with the lousy attitudes.

Some of those "drama queens" may just happen to know the law better than the LEO...  Granted, you probably see more of the ones that are just making waves, but it does happen frequently.  Judging a person by your initial interaction with them in a stressful environment is usually the wrong course of action.

My neighbor and friend is a state trooper.  Really good guy.  He has the respect of the community here because he treats people well, and doesn't rush to judgment.  He's told me a number of times about how overly aggressive officers are doing more harm than good.  I tend to agree.

LEO's aren't military, nor should they convince themselves in their own "alternate reality" that they are.

That being that...  OP is just trolling....  Again.

I was called a sidewalk lawyer after questioning an officers understanding of the law. He was miffed and walked away.

   :headscratch:
