:O
My phone is #1
and I thought those bumps on my face were from sleeping on a dirty pillow. :uhoh
well, they can write on my grave "He got three days use with one charge". :bolt:
-
Another good reason to keep my Samsung all of which seem to be in the lower scale.
It wouldn't matter anyway as practically no one calls me. :cry

So reversely most likely all those 'bad radiating' phones are the ones that are going to give you the best reception in a bad signal area.

Not necessarily. EM emissions can cause worse reception. It never improves reception.

I'm pretty sure it's not EMI in the traditional sense but the strength of the output signal of the phone they're measuring.
-
There has never been established any link between mobile phone emissions and cancer. In any case the puny emissions from your phone is insignificant compared to all the base stations, and they are everywhere. Even if you throw away your phone you're being radiated, unless you live in the wilderness where there is no reception.

It is not the transmission signal that is a problem. That is not what they are measuring. Transmission wattage is something that does not need to be measured. It is fixed based on the transmitter being used by the device.
All transmission/reception devices emit EM, above and beyond what they designed to do. How well that EM is controlled goes to the shielding of the device.
Whether the cell phone emissions are damaging to human cell tissue, or not, is the controversy.

Radiation does not exist, therefore, it cannot hurt you! :noid

They put in an informational list of IPhones because of popularity. Mine is the 3G. It's SAR is more than #19 and 20 on the highest list :huh Government study for ya.

I'm going to take the radiation risk and switch to iPhone next month: they are adding Flir thermal imaging camera on next iPhone 6, : this Flir cameras are expensive , now they add this technology on 350$ phone; I rented one from Home Depot to find exhaust leak on my truck emission system. This is cool gadget to have ,with many applications.

whatever you do dont buy the Kyocera Hydro XTRM. it was the worst reception ever. it claims that it can go up to 3 feet of water and that's probably true.
problem is that you always sound like you are under 3 feet of water.

I just went from a smart phone back to a flip phone. I hate the one I had, its like carrying a tablet around. I need a good cell phone, not a mini pc that pretends to be a phone sometimes.

No the FLIR case is an addon that works on iphone 5 and above. I've already preordered one.

My phone is #1 too. Oh well fortunately I make very few calls. It is primarily my modem as I tether it to my 'puter. I probably average less than 30 minutes of actual phone use in a month.
-
Huh, my phone is dead last on that list too bad I rarely ever talk on it!
-
Top of the list.
I like to live dangerously :devil

I am keeping my Razor flip phone as long as possible. :old:
Fits in the smallest of pockets, yet withstands being dropped on the ground a lot. Oh, and it has an app that makes and receives phone calls, too! ;)

when that wears out. I have another razor in mint condition. best phone ever.

Sorry to bring this back , I've watched this in news here ,Canadian government is passing legislation to enforce labeling and warning users about health risk;

Based on what research?
-
It's impossible to get cancer from a cell phone. Yes they do emit radiation, but the type of radiation emitted is in a different part of the spectrum than the cancer causing radiation. Cell phones emit radio wave radiation, the cancer causing radiation is on the opposite side of the spectrum starting at ultraviolet.
Those people that say cells cause cancer are probably the same ones that believe we never went to the moon.
-
The younger people will not know the best phones as far as phone call quality were analog. Phone call quality has declined steadily since digital phones became the norm. Same goes for the modern terrible music formats beginning with the CD introduction.

I remember the analog phones, you couldnt walk and talk at the same time as the quality of your signal would drop. that stopped with digital, given some digital phones are really crappy but they still beat the old analog phones of the 90's.

Back in the old days you had to walk the walk if you talked the talk.

Unfortunately what you state can neither be proven nor disproven.
-
Remember that your phone's radiation is also based on how much data is traveling out of it.
In default settings, the iphones stream data constantly.
It's easy to put a stop to that through settings.

it applies to today also. except you mostly talk the talk

If the radiation from cellphones is capable of disrupting the hydrogen bonds in DNA, it is capable of causing cancer.
-
If the radiation from cellphones is capable of disrupting the hydrogen bonds in DNA, it is capable of causing cancer.
And to even get close to that kind of damage you will need something that is several hundred watts. Radiation is measured as a photon and cell phones not only have a very low power but a very long wave length. This means that the photos they emit lack the power to do any real damage to any tissue. The energy of a photon in the visible spectrum of light is millions of times more energetic than a photon from the radio wave spectrum.

I follow the great wisdom that I learned on cell phones from a very wise man...
