Some amazing Close Air Support, published by IDF: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tEIV5nl4AI
I must admit that it is pretty amazing stuff. So tight cooperation in terms of intelligence, support, firepower and all this in a urban area with small streets and close buildings. What situation awareness level they get to!
I just think of an amazing training that should be done to be able to coordinate all these especially with close location of terrorists, civilians and IDF, prevent friendly fire and civilian casualties. At some point in the video there is only one floor separating the IDF and terrorists... And most of infantry there are conscript soldiers.

Yep, that's amazing.
The fella on the ground hears over the radio that "We're above you, we can see them firing at you."......if that was me on the ground my response would have been "WELL WHY THE **** AREN'T YOU ******* FIRING THE **** AT THEM YOU BUNCH OF ******* ******* ******* I HOPE YOUR MOTHERS ******* WITH A ****** AND A ****** AND A KIPPER!"
And then the end bit "Someone is running, we have targeted them."
Again, same reply but louder this time and with more swearing.
Of course, the bit in the middle....."The terrorists are in the same house as you." Yeah see, then the reply would have been "DONT FIRE! DONT ******* FIRE! WHY THE **** DIDNT YOU USELESS ******* ******* FIRE WHEN YOU SAW THE ****** COMING IN?!"

Got to see the gun camera footage from an A-10 that we had do 3 re-attacks. It's pretty awesome knowing that we have that type of vision from above, we were having problems seeing the poor ...they saw them and the recoiless rifle they had clear as day.

I love the comment section of YouTube, especially on videos like this.

And then the end bit "Someone is running, we have targeted them."
"Targeted them" is quite a mild translation to what he really said :)

But when it's needed, close air is a breath of fresh air

.
As close as I ever want to get to a MK82 500 lb'er.
All you can think is 'are my fatigue buttons holding me too far off the ground?'
