Back in the early 1980's my cousin and I were pranking. We did the usual stuff like "is your refrigerator running?" My cousin called up a random number and started a conversation with another girl close to her own age. Somehow she convinced the other girl that she was an old friend. They talked for a while and even set up a date for a sleepover.  :rofl

Prank calling listeners, local news anchors, celebrities, and and every Waffle House on Earth turned out to be 35+ years of radio ratings gold.

lol the good old stand by call up the tavern about 1 in the morning and tell him you're here outside to pick a friend who was supposed to be waiting outside and you don't see him so could you please page him and let him know his rides waiting outside....... 8 times outta 10 they will page over the loudspeaker and of course his name was Mike Hunt   only the older bartenders would pick up on the joke in a hurry but a lot of them didnt   :D
