CH rudder pedal, about 6 years old. Many times at take off brakes will not release. Are they supposed to always be on until you tap them? Seems like sometimes they are on and sometimes not.
-
I have the same problem.. I just tap them before throttling up and they disengage. Haven't figured out how to fix it, but a quick check before lift off seems to work.
-
To be clear sometimes tapping works and some times even pushing all the way down does not work and sometimes I don't have to do anything..
-
Have you re calibrated? That works when mine randomly act up. :salute

Sounds like a controller issue.
Open clipboard, goto map controls, select the rudder pedals and check the brakes.
you need to move them all the way and let them go back off, check the numbers and see if there is an input, you could check advanced and watch the raw and scaled windows to see if the brakes are moving all the way and back to center.
If you have a dirty pot or frying pan.... :devil it could be giving unwanted inputs that are locking the brakes on.

Mine does it for the first flight when I firs log on, started after an update a wile back. Calibrating does not fix it, just have to tap the brake and it's all good after that.

Same!

Have you analyzed the input from the pedals outside of the game? The CH pedals have a pot each for the brakes. Are both not releasing?
