Every summer in the town of Angola, Indiana, they hold a festival at the local airport with hot air balloons and other aircraft called Balloons Aloft. This year their feature aircraft was the B-25C/D "Yankee Warrior."
I personally saw her in the hanger, and she was a beauty. Unfortunately, I had caught her after she had blew a cylinder and was sitting in the hanger. :frown:
Here's a few snippets from the local Newspaper, The Herald Republican;
With a few sputters, a B-25 Yankee Warrior bomber bellowed back to life Thursday, after
one of the engines in the twin-radial engine World War II bomber blew a cylinder in flight.
[more on the article, nothing really noteworthy]
It cost $60,000 to repair the engine.

$60,000?
Well, the difference between men and boys is the price of their toys

Saw her four times a week and helped the crew for two years. She flew in the MTO in WWII and is the oldest B-25 still flying.
